Tudor Ventures generally invests $15 million per portfolio company. These investments typically take the form of structured equity securities. We will most often take a lead role in our investments and take a seat on the company's board of directors. Frequently, a syndicate of other investors, including both strategic partners and other financial investors, will participate with us in funding an investment.

Tudor Ventures has a traditional venture capital investment process. For promising investment opportunities, we will spend four to six weeks evaluating the company, meeting often with management, interviewing current and prospective customers and partners, and conducting in-depth technical, industry, financial and legal due diligence.

A team of two to three Tudor Ventures professionals will manage this process, but nearly all of our seven professionals will be involved with the company to some extent. The Tudor Ventures' investment committee gives final approval to all investments. The entire process, including legal documentation and funding of the transaction, typically takes two to three months to complete.
